Steps for Creating a Google Alert

 

 

 

1. Go to http://www.google.com/alerts
2. On the right side of the screen there is a place to create a Google Alert
3. Type in your topic of interest
4. Select where and what type of media you want to receive your information from (news, blogs, web, comprehensive, video, groups)
5. Select how often you would like to be alerted (once a day, as it happens, once a week)
6. Enter personal e-mail where you would like to receive the information
7. Click Create Alert
